Finally the weekend. It’s a beautiful Saturday morning. Got up, have already done some stuff but forgot to put my watch back on so none of it counts in the overall. Such is life. The air is warm and dry enough I don’t have to use a dryer on my hair which saves me a ton of time and i get the curls i like. BF snuck back into town without telling me and surprised me last night, so life is really good. Summer is adjusting nicely, took her to the vet the rescue uses and discovered one of those old school vets that uses old and modern techniques rather than relying on one or the other. I love that. He also kept saying “she’s a beautiful dog” and thinks I should keep her so as not to break her little brain anymore than it already is. She is adjusting, just slowly, and he was against putting her on Prozac haphazardly, which i agree with.

There are signs of hope at work, going through a big reorg. Hoping the rebalance workloads again. God saved me from putting my foot in my mouth somehow and i learned some stuff before i said anything and those are now permanent inside thoughts.

Bought a bunch of Christmas gifts yesterday because they were there, the store was decently empty and I just sucked it up and did it. Inviting some friends to Thanksgiving so the frantic preparing of things has begun.

I wanted to show the difference between good lighting and not needing filters, I worry about those folks who cannot deal with unfiltered images of themselves or without a ton of makeup. Since we are now a hip and youthful oriented company, we are now encouraged to use personal pics as our internal images, but they have to be approved by managers because someone abused it along the way. The first pic, which I’m not using either, is good natural lighting and not a lot of makeup along with some good camera positioning. The second pic, which i sent my manager as representative of how I feel like i look at work most days was not approved, but made her almost spit out her coffee laughing when I asked her to approve it. She did admit it was an accurate representation of how things are lately. Taken within seconds of one another in the same room. Not everything is as it appears - or maybe it is? And no worries, I’m not embarrassed by that first one. Gotta show it like it really is in that second one. 🤣

Numbers, all good, coming down off the sodium high of Thursday night, but only two small walks during the day since I was otherwise engaged during the evening. Blob is down, i thought i drank a lot of water, but i apparently lied to myself.
