I know according to my journal it appears I've lost a pound. Unfortunately, I've actually not lost any. I only record a pound as lost when I've weighed the same for 3 consecutive days. So last Monday, I actually weighed 143, but only that morning. By Wed or Thurs, my weight had gone back up to 145. Retaining water or poo, I'm sure. I wasn't as diligent about my carbs last week either. They weren't really over my goal, but probably not as low as they needed to be to lose a few pounds. Yesterday afternoon I caved and ate a serving of potato chips, which I'm sure has me retaining water today from the salt. That's ok. I think it's better to go ahead and indulge in a small portion of a craving rather than keep ignoring it and then bingeing when you can't take it anymore. I'm not going to deprive myself for the sake of a pound. Going to try to do better with the carbs this week. It does make it difficult when you've got two teenage boys. They need more calories at their age. I did fast breakfast this morning and resisted eating lunch out while running errands. I've practically fasted thru lunch, but I do need a little snack to get me to supper. Trying to drink lots of water!
