Guess i didn’t stand on one foot long enough - the macarons got me. Or maybe it was the hot chocolate or the roll? Anyways, it’s a new day and forwards we go. I got the tree up, I’m working on putting away/hiding things that didn’t get done. Going to take the pups for a walk in a few because they deserve it for being so good while i was stuck in bed. I have to figure out where i hid some of the gifts I bought early and still need to wrap.

We did our annual visit to the Hotel Del Coronado for the tree and the beach last night. It was beautiful and I’m glad they’re back to a proper Christmas tree and not that silly upside down thing they did one year. I only have one errand to run and that should be quick. First pic is the lifeguard tower but the lights didn’t come through at all. It’s quite charming and so San Diego. And much better than the one that was falling down in front of us.

Blob deliriously happy and up quite a bit (don’t worry, it’s a fluctuation), everything else displaced by overly confident blob. Not worried. Back to walking long distances soon. Maybe I should consider this a refeed? I do have a new toy which I will be building out after Christmas. Smart scale stuff. Is all good. Burp.

I’m lucky to have been able to stay at and spend actual time at the Del early on. It’s far too expensive to stay there these days, but we are going to go back sometime after Christmas and wander and have dinner on the beach. One of my favorite things about their tree is the way that it brings people together and it is a wonderfully behaved crowd given the number of people. It may be crowded, but it’s never unpleasant. Just a special place.
