sooooo... I filled out an adoption form last night because my friends told me it takes weeks to even be approved to adopt lately and I wanted it approved before that switch flipped.
unless you work with the right GSD people, apparently. we're going to see a special puppy who needs some handling work tomorrow at 10:30. it was the same woman who worked with me when I adopted Hogan. she remembered my sweet boy and that I'm good with the big dogs. don't worry, I do not in any way consider this a replacement for Hogan. it's the next love in my life and it may not happen either. we'll just roll along with things.

I’m so glad you are doing that. He won’t replace Hogan, but HOGAN would be VERY happy to know that another pup gets a chance to have the bestest life ever— with you.

We had our Shepard / chow mix for 18 years before we had to let him go. It was heart wrenching, especially for my husband who was really close to him. I used to tease him and say Barny(our dog) loved me till Joe came home... anyway, I was totally shocked when a month later my husband said he found a dog who was severely abused and had some deformities and would I be interested...of course we took her and she was a full-time job but we kept at it and today when she is with us she is a loving dog. She needs us. She will never totally be at ease but she isn't aggressive, she just get scared.
I think if you get that s dog it will be a positive thing. You are doing a good thing! 💜💜💜💜💜

I also wanted to say that Hogan will always be in your heart, just as all of my sweet furbabies are. I think of them often & smile, now, instead of tear up. One day you'll get there too, when a smile comes to your lips before a tear comes to your eye. Always & forever their paw prints are in our hearts. 💕
