Hogan has an MRI scheduled for tomorrow morning. I'm dropping him off at 7:30 because I wanted to make sure we get him seen before his neurologist goes out on maternity leave. You don't get to stay for this stuff. I'll just bury myself at work. I'm terrified, need prayers. He's in good spirits, but his energy level is subdued most of the day and he's more clumsy than he used to be. Thanks FS family. I may be quiet tomorrow, I don't know. I just know we need some answers.

MRI showed a tumor on his spine, fairly contained but putting pressure on him. It is operable, I just need to figure out who/where and radiation or other treatment after. he has been mobile up to this point, so it's the make a decision or let life decide for you crossroads. I'm probably going to do the surgery, he's only 8, and otherwise in pretty good shape. of course, that can all change with the actual surgical consult, so we'll see where this takes us. prayers still needed and received with gratitude. he did have a substantial fall yesterday trying to jump up into the back of the truck while I was putting up the ramp. he's sore today and I had to up his pain meds per the vet. we'll see where we are on Monday. lots of research to do this weekend. if anyone wants detailed medical info, let me know and I'm always happy to share because it's good to be able to learn from one another. honestly, the tumor came out of left field. even the vet was surprised. we all thought it was a form of degenerative disc disease. at least there's a treatment path for this.
