After eating so much sugar at the party last night, I got up after two hours last night and was completely thirsty and had a little stomach ache. Downed at least two pints of water and hopped back in bed to no avail. An hour and a half later, I got up and stayed up. So two hours' sleep, but 3.5 hours laying in bed, so recording that as sleep. This morning, had an amazing brunch at the Elkridge Furnace Inn, established 1744! Wow, SO good. Impeccable service and food. We had a great time and got Judy, Bill and friends Marie and Steve -- who drove down from Ohio to Baltimore -- on their way to their Bahamas cruise in style. Drove back through a pretty severe snow/sleet storm, but made it back safely. The food I ate at brunch will add to the goodies from last night, but that does it for this weekend's indulgence. Back to the plan! Have a great Sunday, friends! Yikes. Just totaled up the brunch and it was 1600 calories. But so worth it. Indulgence done!

Hah! Glad you enjoyed it, Bill! That place sounds incredible. Here in the midwest, the oldest places you can find are from around the 1850's. I've really got to get to the east coast at some point and see some of those places. Or to Europe, where some of the places are a thousand years old or more! Just checked out the menu online. Wow... that looks delicious!

Gotta love those old places. As you know, I live in Denmark. Every day I walk past a 1,000 year old church. Next to it is a restaurant in a building that was built 50 years before Columbus "discovered" America. Wild, isn't it?

Yeh, Keld... that's what I'm talking about! I've gotta come see that sometime. Definitely want to see a bit of old America too, but to see a building that was built in the middle-ages just has to be mind-blowing. And to eat at a restaurant built 50 years before Columbus' time... that would be incredible. How's the food at that place, anyway? Does it do it justice?
