I have now managed a run each day for the last week and I am generally improving each time. Frequent running, my walking plus a little gym and physio exercising is hopefully going to be my new routine. I am eating 2500 cals per day which is still giving me a small deficit but making it easier, as I understand it, to put on muscle.
Good news - Five days after stopping medication (which I had been on for around 5 years) my BP is looking very well settled and in a normal range at 120/70 - Given that the half live of the effect of the medication I was on averages 13 hours I have reasonable confidence that going forward I can stop taking medication for the foreseeable. Given that my BP before medication was typically 155/90 this improvement is a fantastic impact of my lifestyle change that 220 days ago I thought was totally impossible.
