First of the month, I did get on the scale and I remember the number (not too good) so I figured I might as well punch it in.

I'm not too happy because as I usually weight in on Friday (historically my best weight in because I tend to be careful about what I eat all week and then slack off a bit during the week-end) and I should be either at last week's weight or under. No dice for this week, but I think that this tobacco quitting is taking it's toll and is most probably the explanation for the red arrow today.

I'm at 7 days without a single cigarette, it is working but I have to fight real hard and, yesterday, the craving was so bad (well actually it's not a craving for cigarette anymore, but I feel like I'm missing something real bad) that I stopped at the convenience store and bought a bag of jujubes, which I completely ate during the bus ride home.

That cannot help getting the green arrow on a weight in, but I didn't cave in and have a smoke so I put that as a win.

I'll give myself a bit of slack next week too and then, I'll get back in the saddle and check what I eat a little more. As we are quitting smoking together, my wife and me are thinking about buying a trip in an all included resort somewhere in November as a reward and I'd like to shed a few more pounds before that trip (looking good on the beach yeah! ;o)
