Ha. Well, there’s a wake up call before the festivities even start. Surprise guest yesterday and ended up going out. I just guesstimated it all and tried to limit portions and brought some home. Had an Italian cookie that tasted like a polvorone, so that’s what we’re logging it as.

Today is the big day, so I’m going to row this morning while I wait for my mom to walk Summer. They’re doing well together, I just make sure there’s a safety on each of them.

Swam yesterday. Ended up doing it in three parts due to multiple technical difficulties. I can swim for thirty minutes with a leaky goggle, I cannot swim with an entire eye full of water, so I had to stop twice and fix things and ended up starting all over except that the pace was too high to knock out a full thirty at that point and I was struggling at the end. No biggie, I got my thirty minutes in. It’s just like swimming a set except with sloppy stats. It is much cooler here today and feels like it might rain, so getting the exercise in early. Looking at stats from yesterday. All over the place. 10.7 METs in the 18 minute set, so I was working which is the whole point. 554 strokes. That works out to about 840 strokes for the full set, so we’re all good. Did some kicking with fins to strengthen the knees. I’m trying to be very conscious of my movements these days, so bear with me if I sound redundant.

Got some scurrying around to do this morning. Happy Thanksgiving, stay safe and eat well.

Thanks, Nikina! Finished a really hard rowing workout, cleaned up and just discovered that my tall boots i got just before the world shut down are big on my calves, so i guess that’s an NSV? I’m keeping them because I don’t think I’ve ever even worn them out of the house before and I’m wearing them today because why not?
