Sunday morning quiet time before we dig into the day. Trying to decide if i want to make a waffle or not. Probably not. Been doing fine with the eggs and I had ice cream yesterday… so eggs it is. Balance in all things.

Notes for me. Swam yesterday and mixed it up by swimming three sets: two with finis paddles and snorkel, last without. I really expected my effort to increase without the paddles, instead it was opposite, which makes sense because my hands are much smaller than the paddles and slip through the water with less effort. I expected side breathing to disrupt my flow with the current being higher, but it didn’t. Strokes were much faster, which is not surprising, but heart rate for that segment was lower than the one before. Never went into zone 4, probably due to rest between sets. Takeaways are all good, still know how to swim without accessories. It’s only been a couple weeks so i need to decide if i want to turn up the current. Since i can get into peak zone, i think I’ll leave it until i can’t get HR up there any longer. 926 strokes, which technically is right at PR, but since i was swimming without the paddles, it’s not a true comparison. Breakout by sets, 300, 249, 314, 16 and 34 as the timer ran out. Heart rate on the larger segments, 132, 132, and 121. Cruising. Okay, definitely changing strategy today, will go for hard and faster. Thinking that i need to take my accountability pics and put them into a single folder because my photo stream looks like i’m self-obsessed which is not the case. Just trying to document changes. That would be a very awkward slideshow to pop up on the big screen during a party. 🤣

Long walk with dogs later in the evening. Didn’t go the whole way due to what looked like drama down one of our streets. We just avoid. Not worth it, especially on a holiday weekend when things tend to get amped up. I was starving so stopped and got a single scoop at Dark Horse. Nothing fancy, no cone, no toppings. Need to save up for Walkabout next weekend!

Saw this poem at the treehouse collective house. Fits my current “moment” in life. Puts the whole look forward with joy and remember with fondness thing together. They have a tree full of poetry cards as well. Cool people. I didn’t center that shot very well and the FS square isn’t helping.

Blob up, water way down, makes sense since i was sweating up a storm all day with the humidity. Watch says I burned 1,091 active calories yesterday, so that will catch up at some point. Today feels cooler so far. Thank goodness.

Above numbers make more sense. Blob down, muscle up, water is better than earlier, but also contains caffeine. Blob is at current new low, so new macros strategy continues to work. Not changing weight in FS.
