Back roughly a week later. There were some huge ups and downs, I'm sure, but no one will ever know because there was no scale. I'm kidding, of course, I mostly held on to what I normally do with the exception of very limited amounts of movement on one very long day.

seems regular travel will be coming back into my life, the good news is that I got to choose my hotel and there were no insects of any kind (yeah, that happened last time). I ate pretty well by going with the proteins, fruits and veggies where I could find them. avoided the danish and other crap. I dumped the insides of the lunch wrap on my plate and made a salad. I did carnivore style on my burger and got extra mushrooms - that was delicious. I avoided the alcohol with the exception of a white wine spritzer with ice. wardrobe and shoes were on point. I'll probably have to get a new suit because those people are still around and I need to get a pair of comfortable closed toe heels.

walking in the airport was great. I was pulling my carry on and wearing my laptop briefcase. 2.5miles with that was a sweaty affair - which was the whole point. there are a couple "hills" in Dulles and I made sure I hit them a couple times. I love watching and sometimes talking to random people, so that part was fun.

worst part? random sleep cycles. I already do 5AM calls every other day, but having to travel, stay up late, then get up at 3AM my time was not the greatest. will take the mini sleep machine next time because the noise puts me to sleep better than apps or whatever. I am back to myself this morning, but I hit the sheets and crashed hard last night.

10:30 already and I gotta leave the computer behind at this point. sun is out, I have stuff to do and life goes on. enjoy the cactus blooms below.

Sounds like a good trip overall. I used to live in Arlington, could watch the planes at Reagan coming and going from my bedroom window. Never flew out of Dulles.
