Forgot to log the weight yesterday even though I entered the stats. Oh well, it's for me anyways.

Swam yesterday, and did it early. I think I need to start being more selfish with my time. I feel like I'm safely out of the doldrums at this point. Sure, I still have moments, but there's more days of lightness, so that's progress.

Swim was pretty good, I just enjoyed this one. 866 strokes, 10.3 METs, 14 minutes in peak, the rest in cardio. Average heart rate 142. Hmm, looking again, if I haven't swam in a couple weeks and did that without working hard, it's time to turn the current back up a notch. I'm swimming with smaller paddles again, they're keeping my elbow functional, meaning no overuse pain. Thinking about changing up the sets slightly to include a long warm up followed by pyramid sets on the weekend. Will run it by the coach friend since he understands my schedule and some of my injuries.

Music throughout the house again today. except it's Halloween music. just happy! my neighbor texted late last night just how much her kids love the display this year, so it's worth the work. Asked BF if he'd be up for driving to LA and seeing Danny Elfman next year and he said yes!!! Gonna have to save up for those tickets. In the meantime, lots to do today. Going to toss some more neighborhood pics in here since we're running out of October already. Includes the former propmaster's house. I love their displays. there's sound and a real coffin in there. wondering why I take so many pics? well, when I first moved to San Diego, there was a man who did an incredible holiday display, time passed, he died (I assume) and then the house and all the memories were gone, but some of us still talk about it from time to time. I appreciate the work people put into these displays and that they're enjoying themselves doing it. I share because I know my former HOA would never put up with anything even close so some people don't get to enjoy the delight of being childlike in their adult form. so there. Happy Halloween Eve!

I cut a solid two inches off the mane last night. got rid of some dead ends and redid layers. that's what the thinning shears were for. so much easier than doing it by feel, but I can see where people screw up and easily overdo it. I don't want to have to shave my head before winter because I got too aggressive playing with scissors.
