It's unscripted, but the second day of keeping off the cakes went well with a further drop. As well I did two hours of solid exercise yesterday I have ended up with a massive deficit of nearly 1500 calories! I checked my diet calendar and found that for the ten prior days I had averaged over 300 grams of carbs each day! That's a lot of sugar and apparently (after a quick google) eating lots of refined sugar can often lead to water retention - Last week I had noticed that my lower legs were slight puffy when I took my socks off and it could be an explanation of why my weight has so rapidly dropped in the last few days? I do tend to experience bit of weight bounce so I am not counting my chickens yet.
Much of my diet has been the same old thing and I was probably getting in a rut, this little change of tack is giving me new impetus to finish and get to my target, just 0.5kg to go.
I've only had minor hunger pangs so I will keep this for a third day. I may just have learnt something from this experiment- I think Claire is planning an apple crumble for pudding so I will keep off the carbs until then. Hoping to keep the total below 120 grams for the day.
