Scale is not talking to the network this morning, so we'll just have to capture my weight and catch up with the rest of the data tomorrow, I guess. Never mind, just reconnected to the network and apparently I've been pasting the same data for a couple of days. Durp. In all fairness, it's been very close the last couple of days, so I just assumed I was in a holding pattern.

So, blob down slightly, muscle mass is kinda sad, water is lower than someone who drinks as much water as I do.

Swam yesterday, the new current is hard to keep up with. I can, but it's not much fun. Brain has to stay engaged or I get smashed against the sides of the pool. Walked later, kinda shorter walk. We had to drop a leg of the walk due to too much drama happening on one block that is a new thing. I'll just add something else in, I guess. Somewhat of a shame because there's a really nice older man that I enjoy talking to from time to time and he just loves the dogs. He hasn't been outside either though last couple of times, so we'll just have to see.

Plan on swimming, walk and more pulling weeds. Which I got no credit for yesterday on the watch. Grrr. Random note, the woman who wanted me to cut down all my trees is moving and renting her house out. How glad am I that I chose to ignore? Very. Hold your ground when someone's being ridiculous. She was redoing their yard to be super low maintenance for renters. In the meantime, the Hooded Orioles (golden orioles) are back to nest and I also have a hummingbird nest in the same palms.

I have tons of Hooded Orioles starting a couple years ago. I make sure my hummingbird feeders are full and ready for them. They snack and drink from them all day. I don’t put oranges out, may start doing that. Love your posts and wish I was your weight I am getting there. I don’t think I could ever work out as much as you! Have a Wonderful Peaceful Sunday! 🌸🌺

Plus!!!!!! My trees are the birds sanctuary!! Some people need to live in cemented parking lots!!!😡 Sorry, I am passionate about wildlife! Squirrels not do much! Too fast, too clever, too destructive!🤨

I should admit I'm behind on the weeding. Quite frankly, it hurts my back and I can't just go all out in a single day which sucks. Gonna work on that.

Shrewd, she removed tons of landscaping and plants in her own yard, some of which were specimen plants. The gardening crew actually dug some of them up rather than destroying them which is a ton more work, but they just couldn't ruin them. and yeah, I have a ton of birds because I have trees and water. I'm not feeding the hummers until May because of a bacterial thing that's being carried by migrating finches and it's amazing how the absence of the feeder has affected the number of birds. They still come for the water though. I should go to the state website and see how things are going. Erq, those are my fortnight lilies and they are the hardiest things ever. They survive direct sun and not a lot of water and are spectacular for weeks on end. They are irises and just stunning. The blooms are gorgeous and I have one plant that sometimes gives a double flower. I'll snap a pic if I see one. delete

I edited that comment because I was repeating what the landscaper told me and I honestly have no clue what I'm talking about on landscaping.

Katsolo, I am ignorant of the finches infections, haven’t been keeping up on my birding reads.😞 Thanks and I will check it out. I may be crazy, but I am in love with crows and actually got a pair to nest in our tree and have a fledgling that grew to love us. My husband made platforms for him in the tree. Then the Damn West Nile virus wiped out all the crows out in our neighborhood. Woke up to one dead crow after another.🥲 Will check out the bacterial infection today . THANKS!👍🌼

I’ll look up the name and post in a bit.

Salmonellosis is the finch disease. There’s also a hummingbird one called hummingbird candidiasis.

Silly neighbors. Some truly are crazy.

What was your neighbor's reasons for wanting you to cut down your trees? Were all the birds bothering her? Are they hanging over into her yard? Just curious.
25 Apr 21 vom Mitglied: JustBananas
She cut down all the trees in her yard and asked me to cut all mine down because she was afraid they would fall on her house.
25 Apr 21 vom Mitglied: Katsolo
She has the right to cut anything hanging into her yard, which she did and i don’t care about that, but it was a bonkers request.

Meta, i have the parrots, too, although they’re a little lost with all the Cardinal palm trees dying from the horrible Bolivian weevil infestations.

Good for you on the trees! We had a neighbor that moved in and started mowing about 35 feet into our lower property. When my husband suggested they all look for the property line stake, the neighbor got super confrontational. My extremely chill, laid back hubs came up to the house pissed, and immediately hired a surveyor. When the surveyors were out she called the cops on me. So happy that she moved away. She was there exactly 1 year. On another note, WA state has lifted the feeder restriction here, but I think the bird population got decimated since very few have been visiting my feeders...

We don't have hurricanes in San Diego, so it's not likely that your trees would fall on her house. Maybe she's from Florida and is applying that rationale to her California home. Well, it's good for both of you that she's moving out.

Oh no on the birds, it makes me so sad... I have some, but definitely not as many, including my hummingbirds. it's hard not putting food out, but it makes sense. I'll make sure to keep the fountain chlorinated at night (chlorine is depleted by sunlight, so will be okay for birds in daylight) to keep killing the bacteria. the neighbor hasn't been as bad as yours, thank goodness, but I'm not going to miss her much. I just hope it's someone that fits into our happy little chill neighborhood.

I am pretty dense, my neighbor long ago asked me if he could cut down my tree to the fence line. I said absolutely not! The tree is there for the birds. I thought he meant height, but he meant the part that was coming over into his yard.🙃 Once a day went by it dawned on me what he meant. I told him I had no problem with him trimming his side. Brother, I still chuckle to myself what a knucklehead I can be!😆
