On the way back down. Still itchy, not as bad. Thankful it's not hot here, cool weather makes it easier. Swam again last night, checked the water, decided I could get away with adding a cup of baking soda so I did it. In the category of weird things I'm proud of, I have left the blisters alone mostly. It's the quickest way to healing completely and that's the great motivator there. Breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out.

Swam again last night. We'll call it decent. 796 strokes, 10.3METs, heart rate in upper 130s. Long pulls which is why the calories were up even though not as many strokes. that's my favorite swim. Lets me clear my mind, breathe and count to ten while counting sets and distance. Not a lot of room for other random thoughts while I'm tracking all that and trying to remember to breathe. Going to research how to increase my effort this weekend on the myswimpro website. Guessing it's going to be mixed sets with rests in between for a longer period. I've also got new bands that aren't going to snap on me.

Been thinking about the whole butterfly effect thing lately. Just the little what if's along the path of life. Overall, life is as good as it can be given everything that's going on, but with all the chaos going on, you have to wonder about individual choices, actions, and what if's and the impact on the overall world. Thoughts are not to be confused with having regrets. this is why I have to unplug my brain sometimes. Also thinking about a solo camping trip up in the mountains just to get out of town. It's been forever. Three large dogs, I should be fine. BF is not fond of roughing it, so I'll ask, but doubt he'll go. I feel safer outside than in a hotel. I just want out of here for a couple of days. Change of scenery. Still got my gear so nothing to buy.

I don't know whether this little guy is young or stupid. He's fearless. Praying that the dogs don't get him.

What a cute little guy! 💖 I’m glad you’re feeling better and are enjoying good swim sessions. A camping trip alone sounds incredible. Go for it if you are comfortable! Those pups should make great companions. 😊

Negotiating a day trip to idyllwild or a cabin at big bear with BF, he doesn't want me camping alone right now. Woods aren't scary around here, it's the humans you have to worry about. Next weekend, not this one. We'll see.
