Starting building my nutrition upon the "2B Mindset" Core Four foundational principles on May 1st, and I am seeing consistent progress everyday. I wanted to share this modality with my FatSecret friends.

The Core Four foundational principals of 2B Mindset are: Water First (drink 2 glasses before every meal), Veggies Most (fill half your plate with them), the Scale (weigh yourself daily), and Track (hold yourself accountable...I use the free Nutrition+ app which accommodates the 2B Mindset modality). It's important to stress that I am not counting calories or macros, rather, my tracking uses a plate visual, and I take a picture listing the items on the plate. It's been a real time saver, and I stay motivated.

Since I started, I am finally getting plenty of water into my diet (in the past) drinking half my weight in ounces was a goal that I rarely met). I am eating a large volume of food, made mostly of veggies, which is keeping me satiated, and I "accessorize" them so they are not boring and bland. Not to mention I am saving money because I am not buying supplements - I am getting plenty of vitamins & minerals through my nutrition!. Every meal I have a lean protein, and with breakfast and sometimes lunch I add an FFC (fiber filled carb).

There are two victories here I want to stress - I am not hungry AT all, and the weight is falling off me compared to my keto journey during the first part of the year. I'm not knocking keto, as I agree with the "Healthy Keto" modality advocated by Dr. Berg (he has tons of you tube videos). I suspect my issue is I was eating too much dietary fat, which was body was using as fuel versus my own fat. Additionally, I was supplementing to make up for the lack of nutrients, and spending a lot of money. At the end of the day, we are all unique people with different bodies and metabolisms - what you or I find works, I support. It's a journey of refinement and I celebrate that perspective.

2B Mindset was created by Ilana Muhlstein, M.S., R.D.N. Below is her book that was released May 12, 2020. It's on Amazon. Her personal story is amazing and adds elements of compassion and understanding that I find quite encouraging.
