Good start, down from yesterday. I can definitely normalize the next few days of eating and I'm going to take these wild dogs somewhere today as soon as I can step away from the work computer. Broke into detailed stats this morning, the higher heart rate was sustained for 12 minutes of the 30, pretty cool, I'm guessing the spike at the beginning is when I took of my coverup and jumped in the water - it was very chilly at first. Overall swim was really strong compared to the day prior. Not sure yet, but think I may order the large paddles soon and see where that takes me. Easier to turn up the current another notch which is what I'll do first. One has to wonder how much better would I have been competitively with all these insights they have now.

I have a friend, recently passed, who joined masters swimming with me at work when they still let us do things like that in the middle of the day. He got so he swam faster at 68 than he did in his teens swimming competitively. Pretty awesome and something to keep in mind. I'm also thinking about the gentleman on the ski lift at kicking horse who was already in his 90s who had a goal to ski at 100. We're not talking bunny slopes either. I try to remember these guys when I'm tired, when things hurt, and when they hurt more. No one lives forever, but I'd rather live my life moving than being stuck in my house like my grandmother who chose not to push herself anymore. If you don't keep moving, you stop moving. It's that simple. Sometimes, I need a gigantic kick in the butt to do stuff, but three large dogs is a great motivator, too. I also really, really love my watch. Those rings and those stats are very helpful to me in my race against myself. If you're on the edge, just buy something that lets you track. It can be transformative.

No, moop, we don't do dog parks for the most part. While my dogs are well socialized and can go to the beach and play with their friends, there's too much chaos at dog parks with three large dogs.
