Good morning, Fatsecret!

Ahhh... it's good to be back home.

It was an AWESOME vacation, the best one in decades, but oh how I've missed the foods that I am used to, the foods that I need for me to do good.

I was TERRIFIED of the scale this morning. I was at 92 kgs when I left (no, I didn't weigh that in), and today I weighed in at 91.9 kgs. No change. Wait, what?!?

I feel that I have lived off white bread for a whole week. I feel like I ate nothing else than that and frickin' baguettes. And as much as I like it, I can feel that I have been so sluggish. I have had no excess energy, and of course the fact that we were out walking ALL day - I would say a rough estimate of 10-12 hours per day - drained me from energy, but of course also helped me walk off all those terrible carby calories.

I totally gave up on counting. I had no chance to evaluate what I ate, and it would have been too much hassle and stress if I was to be accomodated at every meal. So I just decided to go with the flow, and deal with it starting today.

Well, the good news is that there isn't THAT much to deal with. I just gotta go back in the groove. No real damage done.

So, today I am counting my calories. I had my normal, Danish breakfast (eggs, ham, rye bread) and boy did it feel good. I feel like my engine is ready to go, and I feel energized. Nice!

Wife and I still have a week of vacation, before going back to work. We have a lot of TV to catch up on, and generally just wanna relax. I think we've deserved it. I will, however, make sure to move every day, and get some exercise in.

Today, we're going for a trip a few towns over, and there will be some walking around there. Probably for a couple of hours or so. That should be fine, maybe along with some indoor biking.

As much as I've enjoyed the trip, one of the greatest things about it is that I get to come back home. :)

Today I am thankful for:
- MORE vacation!
- DANISH morning coffee!
- Not really gaining weight from those damn baguettes! :)

Life is good!

Yeah... Glad you had a great vacation..... Funny that... The French eat lots of french bread, food cooked in butter, pastries.... BUT they haven't got an obesity problem ..... I give up LOL!

Pam, maybe that's the solution. Bring on the butter, the white bread, the croissants. NOT. lol. Actually, I think I know the secret. There are staircases every-frickin-where!

I think their secret is eating very small portions, after the staircases! Congrats on keeping your weight eating completely different (heavier) food!
