Scale is up a half pound this morning. Pants are still falling off though, so I think we're good. going to ask the nutritionist about upping my intake a little for activity. i've been somewhat ravenous the past few days.

I've been closing all three fitness rings pretty consistently since the beginning of March. That's burning 550 active calories, 30 minutes of "exercise" (so frustrating and hard), and standing up 12 times per day. That visual of active days on my phone has been good for me as far as seeing how sedentary I had become.

I've added to what I call the "dog promise" which is to make a real effort to walk them a good mile or two every day whether I want to or not. the things that sometimes get in the way are work, weather (especially hot with big dogs) and me getting sick, but for the most part, we make it work. we're adding the "pool promise" which is that now that I've taken this crazy step, I'm going to get my butt in there every day for at least 15 minutes of active swim time even if it's late at night. I'm tracking it, we'll see how I do at the end of the month and the end of the year. I can't believe I ever spent up to four hours a day in the pool for swimming and water polo. I'd die if I were doing it these days, but it's all about improving from where you are, right?

I am sleeping so hard the last couple of nights; it's pretty great except for the whole morning getting up and going to work thing. I can function as either a morning person or a night person, but I have to have the whole day set up appropriately.
