Some late evening thoughts. First, it’s hard to hit protein goals without Greek yogurt or ahi tuna. Going to have to plan this one a little better, but this first week has been a recalibration of sorts. Oddly, i have my bag of chocolates up in the cupboards and it hasn’t been an object of obsession. That’s good. It’s easy to not eat when I’m not moving, totally different story on the weekend when I’m moving around. Logging as I’m prepping food forces me to think and changes my mind. I have got to find other protein sources besides chicken - that’s just me being lazy. I’ll think about the grocery list for the week more strategically.

No walk, puppy class. Chance is an amazing boy.

Have you considered a shake? Garden of Life raw organic meal replacement is chocolate and delicious, it's 20g protein.

Funny thing I’m okay with shakes, but I’d rather eat. This whole exercise is a reshuffling of my nutritional priorities on an overall basis. That said, I’ll probably be making more anabolic ice cream as it’s extremely filling and has a similar amount of protein.

PW, my job chains me to the desk. Yesterday, i burned fewer than 200 calories by 2:00 PM due to back to back calls and i finally broke the chains and took the dogs for a quick turn around the block because that is just not right. I think I’m hungrier when i exercise/move more because i will forget to eat and then I’m ravenous, but still try to keep it sane which may or may not work. I dunno. We are all delightfully weird in our individual relationships with food.

Shellfish ftw. Case price on 16/20 shrimp at restaurant depot is $4.49/lb; Mussel meats ~$2.50; squid ~$3.5. All have a better profile than whey protein powder.

I think I'm more lazy, I like how easy shakes are but no more than once a day, if that. Maybe a snack vegore you walk the dog to stop the hunger rage. I get like that too, if I wait too long between meals. Have to tried plant based proteins? They are yummy.

I also forget to eat when I'm focused on something, then eat too much too fast. Why are you unable to eat Greek yogurt, are you lactose intolerant? Besides chicken, I get most of my animal protein from seafood, which you seem to do as well. I do eat beans but they're not high on my favorites list and I've been avoiding them since my digestive tract issues. I know you don't need any help from me figuring this out, just rambling a bit. 💚💜💛

I can and do eat Greek yogurt, I’m just looking to incorporate new things, although a week of shrimp and other seafood for dinner would be fun. That said, I won’t overdo it because moderation in all things and I don’t want to trigger anything.

Katsolo, I thought about you today! I grabbed a handful of Pumkin seeds with seasalt, OH my gosh, so good...then I saw 11 gram of protein in 1/3 cup!!! I mean seriously tastey

Love them, but I use sparingly as they have more calories than I want in a larger serving. Going with egg white omelette for breakfast this morning. Will use a whole egg from time to time.
