I've decided to put my scale at home away because it's proving to be a source of frustration. Meaning that we all understand daily fluctuations - except when it happens to us! I decided I need to get more serious about tracking the allowed "extras" to make sure I'm not cheating myself when I throw some seeds in a salad or add a pat of butter to my spaghetti squash. Overall, it's going well. I'm not in ketosis, but I drink a ton of water, always have, and I think that causes my strips to remain at "trace" even though I'm losing weight. I've also decided that the oatmeal is my hands down favorite meal.

I'm going to focus on the non-weight changes I'm seeing during the week. My jeans fit better already, as do my some other clothing items that have been bugging the heck out of me lately. The boots I bought earlier this year now fit over my calves with my jeans inside - this is a short person thing as much as it is a weight issue - put the two of them together and we'll just say that over the knee boot trend just needs to go away!

I start exercising again this week - took at week off while I adjusted to the food. I'm not hungry, so that's a bonus. I actually almost forgot to eat a meal yesterday and had to double-check my numbers at the end of the day.

I have to remember from the first time around that my body loses in fits and starts, so this isn't likely going to be a straight line process. I like to think that in the event of famine that I would be a survivor, so this will take awhile longer than other people.

I need to find a new doctor this year - thanks to insurance changes. Thinking that since I have to pay for most stuff out of pocket first, that there's a doctor in the neighborhood that doesn't take insurance and it won't really matter for the routine stuff. Need to see how it affects my out of pocket/deductible before I jump in on that.
