DH and I ended up going to Des Moines Ia.(about 100 miles north) yesterday and purchased a new (to me) double oven electric range. I've been wanting one, but they are so expensive. DH found this one on Craigslist and it is like new, they remodeled and bought stainless steel in the exact same model because she liked it so well. Wish me luck with it! So no wrapping of Christmas packages took place yesterday after all. Today I left this morning pretty early and picked up my sister and traveled to a town east of us and shopped at a interesting store stocked with items from storage lockers that people don't pay their rent on. Eclectic assortment of "stuff" stacked "high and tight" as Sam Walton liked to say. Could have spent hours really digging but didn't have that kind of time and besides the building wasn't heated and it was cold in there! Found a few treasures, then went to a Holiday Bazaar in the town where my sister lives and found a few more treasures. All in all a great day, but the pile of unwrapped gifts mock me!
