now i feel i'm back on track. i lowered my rdi, and while i haven't always stuck with it, it's been better than before. also i'm still walking 2 miles per day. i still haven't figured out what i'm going to do when it gets cold. i belong to a gym so i could walk on the treadmill or use the track. both just sound really boring to me. i put the gym membership on hold for september and october because i wasn't going to the pool much and really preferred to walk. especially since i got my fitbit. now for some reason fitmess isn't updating fatsecret with my fitbit stats. that's annoying.

Good Job! Thinking the same thing about my walks. I really have enjoyed walking around my neighborhood. I got to see how it is to walk in the cold and wind. My neighbor who walks 5 miles a day outside said it is much more difficult and when it really gets cold or windy she doesn't walk. She's joining gym club this year so don't have to deal with it. I joined in May, but haven't gone since I've been doing my walking outside. It's only $10 a month, so I paid through the summer with the intentions of using it either after I lost some weight (Been doing Home Exercise to get in better shape so I can start using weights & machines) or when the weather gets bad. We'll see what happens. Maybe we'll have a mild winter :)

Nice weight loss! :) I can't afford a gym membership. I have walked in the shopping center. Otherwise I walk inside my house, going from room to room and turning around and walking back again, over and over. I must walk or I would not lose anything! I'm going to watch a Zumba video on my computer (at youtube) and that is like walking without going a long distance. Walking in a small space. :)

i live in the city of chicago and we do not have malls. they are in the suburbs. i belong to the gym, but the track is small and you have to walk TWELVE TIMES around before hitting a mile. i will probably give it a try. i thought walking four times was bad enough. deb, i could never work up to 2 miles walking around my house. i'll hope for a mild winter!

Good job! The fitness is very important overall, but tracking the food is the biggest part of weight loss anyway. I just got a fitbit too. How do you like yours? Were you able to sync the fitbit with fatsecret?

Nice drop. Good to plan ahead on how to get that exercise in. Maybe a few dance cd routines could sub in cold weather,Zumba, Richard Simmons, etc. Workouts with Wii might be an option. Don't know how your Fitbit would log those. Good luck!

angela, i love my fit bit. i got it to sync with fat secret using fitmess. herokuapp. com. it hasn't been working lately though. i think the last time it updated was sept 19. i don't know what went on with that. i wear the fit bit on my wrist, and i love to feel the buzz when i hit my steps goal. the only trouble is that it doesn't track other exercises, and it doesn't track my stairs. my husband has the one that tracks stairs, but you attach it to your clothes, and he is always putting it in with the dirty laundry. he's washed it a couple of times. kattay, thanks. my fitbit wouldn't log those, but that doesn't mean it isn't worth a try. we do have a wii fit, so maybe i can get going on that. lately i have been getting such a chill when i walk. i sweat and that cools off and long lasting chill, even after a hot shower. i wish i could get youtube on my tv, that would make following those exercises a lot easier.
