Up a pound from my last average. I guess I have learned to maintain, even though that is not my goal. I am okay with it. My focus really is to gets more activity in when I can and not create a flare up. I will say I do not have the drive, like I did with my first go 'round, but I am okay with that too. I am learning and practicing self-care in other ways, that I know will eventually show up as physical evidence of a healthier me. Porch is finished and we've been busy getting ready for our May trip to California. Staying at the same beach rental and celebrating Emmylou's 2nd birthday there. I am not making the cake this year, so see, I am learning to take it easy and not stress unnecessarily. 👍 Packing for the trip has confirmed that comfort is of utmost importance, especially at my age. I had an outfit all set out for daughter's graduation, with dress and medium heels. Well, after trying on 3 pairs of heels and walking around for a bit, I ditched that outfit for linen slacks and light weight blouse with flats. Changes like this are easy for some, but takes some positive and encouraging self-talk in order for me to be okay with the change. I guess I am working on shushing the old voices in my head. Not trying to be dramatic, just trying to describe it how it is. Okay, enough gabbing. I still plan on watching the sunrise while in Balboa/Newport. There's a little park down the block from the rental and I plan on catching the morning sun there. 🌄 Hope you are all having a wonderful day and that you are getting closer to who and where you want to be, no matter what that looks like. 💖
