Okay, I finally posted my weight gain. Seems I do well, get down a couple of pounds and swing up twice what I lost. My habits need to change and I must apply a strategy that is effective, as well as flexible, so I can make healthy choices a habit. My Saturday, so far, has been about watching the sunrise, yelping dogs, banana chocolate protein waffles, old western movie, and a family of quails munching in and around our blossoming apricot tree. Have a wonderful day and keep moving towards where and who you want to be. ♡

Dearest Becky! It is so hard. It doesn't seem to get easier the longer we are on the path. My weight is also up right now. A few good days followed by not good days doesn't equal progress. New day today! ❤️❤️ Hello two of my favorite ladies! 😇 👿 😇 I wonder if I'm the purple guy in the middle! 😁 ❤️

My sweet Becky,❤️, I know that yesterday I gained at least that much, but I’m not as brave as you and I am not even getting close to the scale!🥲 Today is a new day, as Melissa said, ☀️ but I know there’s donuts at the office, so I’ll just have to calculate it into my calories.
As Erq said, food is culture, and even the Bible says to always have enough for strangers and visitors.
I’m never home, but I take enough to work to share and often don’t.😆 We’ll do better! 💪👍🌺

ugh- I was just venting to Melissa about my poor eating habits lately and hoping I find a way to stop being so gluttonous. Doesn't help your situation any, but I am struggling big time. Your Saturday sounds wonderful. Mine has consisted of the gym, home depot, and picking up my littlest from her friend's house. Waiting for the hubby to wake up. I haven't seen him all week and he finally has a day off. I suppose I could have done my own journal. haha

Oh I love you all! I haven't been on this journey all that long, considering my age, so not paying attention to calories and nutrients has been the norm for the majority of my adult life. I do remember, as a kid, always wanting more dessert. Always. Neither of my parents had a weight probably and although they didn't stay together, individually each of my parents would comment about my weight, whether I had gained or lost, even when I wasn't aware of it. And yes Erq, food is a big deal in my family. I intend on keeping it that way and honoring the blessing of being able to not just feed ourselves, but share with others, while at the same time providing healthy opinions as well as tradional dishes. 💖

Kat, I agree. I'm working on focusing on the positive and realistic accomplishments and not thinking I have to be a certain size, weight or only eat certain foods to be successful and be proud of myself. It's a constant head game for me, it's like I have to outsmart myself! 🤪😆
