Yesterday was one of those days. My day's activity started with a walk/run in a very hilly park. I hadn't visited the park in months and I couldn't remember the last time got my heart rate up into my peak zone. Yesterday was my day. I did more running than usual and kept my heart rate in my peak zone for 42 minutes. But that is not all...

I have been wanting to get back in the gym since the spring of this year when things started to open back up. Being cautious I decided not to rush back to the gym. Then more contagious varients start circulating and I decided to wait a little longer. Next, I heard that we who were vaccinated would need a booster shot to return to a higher level of protection. I got my booster shot a couple of weeks ago and feel that I'm about as protected as I will be for a while. So yesterday I joined a gym. I was so excited that I joined; I did my orientation while I was there. This gym is a bit more upscale than Planet Fitness. They have a pool, indoor courts, indoor track, aerobic classes, and yoga, resistance machines, and free weights. I worked hard during the orientation and feel that good kind of soreness today. I can say that the bodyweight exercises and Total Gym use, while I was away from the gym, were not a waste of time. Yesterday proved that some activity is better than no activity. Now my challenge is to find my way back into a groove. Have a good one folks!!!
