Busy busy couple of weeks. Went to my mom's for the weekend. Attended a birthday party for 2 nephews and a going away party for one of them. This week has been spent going to my MIL's house and trying to get ready for the auction. She NEVER threw anything away!!! We has digging and sorting literally thousands of items. Thrown away over 20 of the 55 gallon size trash bags of pure junk! We have a little over a week left to get ready. Our son and family came a couple of times and that was a big help. Going back again today and tomorrow. Will be glad when it is in the rearview mirror!!

Note to all of us who are aging: Don't leave the sorting to your heirs! Downsize! Sort and discard. I had to do this for my MIL too. It was sad how many contractor bags we just dumped. And when a neighbor passed we just brought in a dumpster and a brigade of friends and neighbors to fill it up. It's a big job, Rhontique, but it needs to be done. Soon to be in the rearview mirror!
