This past year has been tough. I went from being an extremely active (12,000-15,000 steps a day) professional organizer and merchandiser to being... a couch potato. I blew out the ligaments in my right knee and tore the meniscus in my left. Good times.

Now... I walk the dog about once a day (hubby does morning duty as that's when the knees are creakiest) and have a brand new sit-down job staring at a computer monitor all day. My weight is creeping up and it's my own fault: bread and cookies are my number one comfort food and when I hurt, I turn to food.

I don't want another year like this one. I'm trying to actively lose some weight to make it easier on my knees. I had already lost 20 pounds, but have gained 6 back since October. Time to change! My goal is to lose 26 pounds and get to where I can exercise again.
